Carrie Shelton
Master Aesthetician
Carrie is a Colorado native and a licensed Master Aesthetician with over fifteen years of experience in the skincare industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge, hands-on expertise, and an unwavering passion for skin health. Carrie’s career has taken her from running her own holistic skin studio to practicing in medical spas, where she has also trained other professionals across the country.
Her journey into aesthetics began after her own struggle with adult cystic acne, a condition that multiple dermatologists were unable to resolve. This experience sparked her belief that radiant skin starts from within. Today, she specializes in using a holistic, whole-body approach to address acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and aging—combining targeted treatments with lifestyle and wellness recommendations.
Carrie is certified in advanced techniques, including medical-grade facials, chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, HydraFacial, and exfoliation. Committed to staying on the cutting edge, she frequently attends industry seminars and trainings to continue growing her expertise. She’s thrilled to join the Boulder Skin Bar team and looks forward to partnering with you on your skin health journey!
When she’s not helping clients feel confident in their skin, Carrie loves mountain biking, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, and spending time with her mini Husky, Carl.

I am a dedicated registered nurse with nearly six years of experience, including three years specializing in aesthetics. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I’ve always been passionate about empowering others and helping my clients feel confident in their own skin.
Educating my patients is one of my greatest passions. I believe in providing personalized care by equipping clients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their treatment plans. Guided by core values of integrity, accountability, and compassion, I strive to create a positive and trusting environment for every patient I serve.
I have loved skincare and learning about it since I was a little girl. My curiosity about how the human body works ties directly into my passion for skincare at a cellular level, allowing me to approach aesthetics with a deeper understanding and care. I am constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, ensuring I deliver the best care possible.
Outside of work, I stay active through CrossFit, mountain biking, and volleyball. I believe that maintaining an active lifestyle is essential for improving overall quality of life, as it nurtures both physical and mental well-being.

Deanna is the visionary and dynamic force behind Boulder Skin Bar. After years of working with leading companies in the aesthetics industry, Deanna founded Boulder Skin Bar to bring her extensive knowledge and expertise directly to clients eager to transform their skin. Her passion for delivering personalized, results-driven treatments helps clients achieve the healthy, glowing skin they’ve always wanted.
After moving to Boulder from San Diego to be closer to family, she quickly learned that living at high altitudes in a dry climate present unique challenges that compromise the skin barrier and overall skin health. Deanna set out on a mission to curate solutions that help achieve radiant, hydrated, and youthful skin. By combining advanced products & services to address the effects of harsh UV exposure, low humidity, and rapid moisture loss, we’re getting Boulder glowing…one face at a time!
Erika Kuhn
Medical Director
With extensive experience in aesthetics, I have advanced training in dermal fillers, neuromodulators, lasers, and hormone replacement therapy from prestigious programs. My passion for helping clients achieve their desired natural look drives me to deliver the highest standard of care, empowering them to feel confident and happy in their skin.
My journey began with an associate degree in nursing from Aims Community College in 2011, followed by a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 2016. Over the years, I gained invaluable experience working in operating rooms, psychiatric care, and medical units. Pursuing my love for aesthetics and family practice, I earned my master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky in 2021.
As always, I am my patient’s strongest advocate, committed to blending my medical expertise with artistic precision to create truly personalized results.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel/reschedule, please do so 24 hours in advance so we might have an opportunity to accommodate another guest. Less than 24 hours’ notice: A cancellation fee of $100 of your scheduled service cost will be charged. No-shows or failure to notify: The full cost (100%) of your scheduled service will be charged. All fees will be automatically charged to your credit card on file. You may schedule a new appointment after the cancellation fee has been processed. If your card is declined, your account will be placed on hold until the fee is resolved. By providing your credit card information, you acknowledge this policy and authorize charges for late cancellations or missed appointments.
For Your Safety & Optimal Results: Skin Care Products Discontinue all retinoids and alpha hydroxy acids 3 days before treatment Recent Cosmetic Procedures Wait 2 weeks after receiving dermal fillers or neurotoxin injections (such as Botox) If you’ve had recent laser treatments, obtain clearance from your provider Skin Conditions Ensure any sunburned areas are fully healed Wait until cold sores have completely resolved Postpone treatment if you have any active skin infections or irritation Please feel free to contact us if: You have any of the above conditions and wish to reschedule You are unsure about potential contraindications You need clarification about these guidelines Your safety and results are our priority. We understand that unexpected delays can occur. However, to remain on schedule for all our guests, the following applies to late arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, we may need to shorten your service to avoid disrupting the schedule. In such cases, you will be charged the full cost of your originally scheduled service. We will make every effort to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee your full service time if you arrive late. Arriving on time allows us to provide you with your complete, uninterrupted treatment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our schedule running smoothly. Free parking is available in the back of our building. From Yarmouth, turn onto 14th street and then turn into the parking area. Free parking is also available on 14th Street.
Please enter through our front door on Yarmouth Avenue. Please arrive 15 minutes before your initial appointment to check in and complete your New Guest Intake Form, if you have not completed prior to arriving.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to all scheduled appointments to allow parking time and to receive the full benefits of the treatment scheduled.
